Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Stargazer Apps handles information when you use GhostSnap, including the Google Play listing names GhostSnap: Photo Comparison and GhostSnap: Değişim Takibi. The Android application package is com.stargazer.ghostsnap.camera.

Photos and information stored on your device

GhostSnap stores your captured photos, photo series, project names and categories, photo dates, reminder preferences, and application settings on your device. This information provides camera alignment, before-and-after comparisons, project organization, and time-lapse video features.

Photo capture, overlay and contour processing, comparison, and video creation take place on your device. GhostSnap does not upload your photos or project content to our servers, Google AdMob, or RevenueCat as part of these features. You do not need to create a GhostSnap account to use the app.

When you save a comparison or video to your gallery, it becomes a separate media file. If you share it through another app or use a gallery backup service, the service you choose handles that copy under its own privacy policy.

Camera, storage, and notifications

Camera permission is used to take photos. Storage access, where required by your Android version, is used to save exported images and videos. If you allow notifications and enable a project reminder, GhostSnap schedules local shooting reminders on your device. It can reschedule reminders after your device restarts. You can change these permissions in Android settings.

GhostSnap does not request precise location permission. Advertising services may infer an approximate location from your IP address, as described below.

Advertising and privacy choices

GhostSnap includes banner and optional rewarded ads provided by Google AdMob. Google and its advertising partners may collect and process your IP address, advertising and other device identifiers, app and ad interactions, and diagnostic information. They use this information to deliver and measure advertising, support analytics, and prevent fraud. An IP address may be used to estimate your general location.

Where required, GhostSnap uses Google's User Messaging Platform to present advertising consent choices before requesting ads. Depending on your region and consent status, you may see an advertising privacy choices option in the app's settings. Ad personalization and the information used for ads depend on your choices and Google's applicable settings. You can also reset or delete your advertising identifier through Android settings.

Purchases and purchase verification

Optional Pro purchases are processed by Google Play. GhostSnap uses RevenueCat to validate purchases, restore access, and determine whether a Pro entitlement is active. RevenueCat may process a generated app user identifier, purchase history, transaction and receipt information, entitlement status, and technical app or device information needed to provide this service. Purchase verification may connect to RevenueCat even when you are not making a new purchase.

We do not receive your full payment card details. RevenueCat does not receive your photos or videos through GhostSnap. For more information, see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.

Android backup and device transfer

GhostSnap enables Android backup for application preferences. These preferences may be backed up or restored by Android according to your device and account settings. Photo files and the project database are not included in the app's configured cloud-backup rules. Copies exported to your gallery may be backed up separately by services you enable. Device-transfer behavior can also depend on your Android version and device manufacturer.

Service providers and information sharing

The app uses Google AdMob and Google's consent tools for advertising, Google Play for purchases, and RevenueCat for purchase verification. Information is processed by these providers for the purposes described above under their respective policies. These services may process information in countries other than the country where you live.

We do not sell your photos or project content. Advertising data may be disclosed by Google to its advertising partners according to your privacy choices and their policies. We may also disclose information you provide to us when required by law or necessary to protect users and the service.

Retention and deletion

Your app-created photos and project information remain on your device until you delete them in the app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Deleting a project removes its app-managed photo records and associated files. Exported images and videos in your gallery are separate copies and must be deleted from your gallery or backup service if you no longer want them.

Advertising and purchase records are retained by the relevant providers according to their policies and legal obligations. Removing GhostSnap does not automatically delete records held by Google or RevenueCat. Contact us if you want help with a privacy or deletion request relating to information processed for GhostSnap. We may need information to verify the request and locate the relevant records; do not send passwords or payment card details.

Support and your privacy rights

If you contact us, we receive your email address and the information you include in your message. We use it to respond to your request and provide support. Please avoid sending photos or other personal content unless needed for your request.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. You can contact us using the address below to exercise applicable rights. You may also contact the relevant service provider or your local data protection authority.

Security

Photos are processed locally, and the advertising and purchase services described above use encrypted connections for data in transit. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Protect your device and use its security and backup settings to control access to your local content.

Children

GhostSnap is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review the request and take appropriate action.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app or its services change. We will publish the revised version on this page and update the effective date.
